Day:
DENVER
“When I walk down
a Denver street, I always feel as if I were listening to a brass
band.”-Dabney Otis Collins
Start your day
exactly 1 mile above sea level. Climb up to the 15th step
on the west side of the State Capitol Building. Standing here, you
are exactly 5,280 feet above sea level—one mile high. Take in all
the beauty and take a Polaroid to put up in the cubicle when you get
back to work.
Free tours of the
Capitol are offered on weekdays and offer visits to the Senate and
House of Representative chambers.
Grab some lunch at one of the nearby restaurants and re-fuel
for your afternoon.
Spend your
afternoon at the Flying W Ranch, an old western town reminiscent of
the late 1800s, and then enjoy an authentic supper and the famous
Flying W Wranglers stage show.
